Scope
This policy applies to everyone who uses QuickMenuQR: restaurant owners, their staff, and anyone who uses a QuickMenuQR account. It forms part of our Terms of Service. It covers content you enter yourself and content you produce with our AI features. Account owners are responsible for how their staff use the Service.
Prohibited uses of the Service
You may not use QuickMenuQR to:
- Break any law or regulation, including food-safety, alcohol, tobacco, consumer-protection, tax and data-protection laws.
- Sell or advertise illegal goods or services, or regulated goods (such as alcohol or tobacco) where you are not licensed to sell them.
- Publish menus or prices designed to mislead guests, including false allergen, dietary, health, origin or certification claims.
- Upload content you do not have the rights to, such as another business's photos, logos or menus.
- Publish hateful, harassing, threatening or violent content, or content that promotes discrimination, self-harm or terrorism.
- Publish sexual or NSFW content of any kind (see No sexual or NSFW content).
- Collect, use or share guests' personal data without a lawful basis. This includes sending marketing messages that guests have not agreed to receive.
- Process payments for anyone other than your own business, or use the Service for fraud, money laundering or chargeback abuse.
- Attack or disrupt the Service. This includes probing for vulnerabilities, overloading it, scraping it, bypassing access controls or plan limits, and accessing other merchants' data.
- Distribute malware or phishing content, or impersonate another person or business.
- Resell, sublicense or share accounts outside your business without our written permission.
AI features: what they are for
QuickMenuQR's AI tools exist to help restaurants run their menus and business. They:
- write appetising descriptions of real dishes and drinks
- translate menu item names and descriptions for guests
- read a photo of your own printed menu into the menu builder
- generate illustrative food photos
- summarise your sales data into insights and forecasts.
Use them only for these purposes, and only with content about your own restaurant.
AI features: prohibited uses
When using the AI description, translation, menu-photo, image or insight features, you must not:
- Generate sexual, sexually suggestive or NSFW content, or any content involving minors in a sexual way (see the next section).
- Generate hateful, harassing, violent, extremist or discriminatory content, or content that mocks or targets any group or person.
- Generate false or unverified health, nutrition, allergen or medical claims, such as "cures", "allergen-free" or "safe for diabetics", unless they are true and you have checked them.
- Promote illegal drugs, weapons, or excessive or underage drinking, or describe illegal or unlicensed products.
- Create misleading content: fake reviews, false prices, invented awards or certifications, or images presented as your real food when they clearly misrepresent what is served.
- Generate content imitating another restaurant's brand, menu or copyrighted text or images, or infringing anyone's intellectual property.
- Enter other people's personal data, such as guests' names or phone numbers, into AI prompts or menu text.
- Use the AI tools for purposes unrelated to your restaurant, such as general chat, essays, code or content for other businesses.
- Try to bypass our safety filters, for example with "jailbreak" prompts, coded spellings or translations used to sneak in banned content.
- Automate or resell access to the AI features, or use their output to train other AI models.
AI output can be wrong. Review every AI-generated description, translation, image and menu import before publishing it; you are responsible for what appears on your menu. Our AI provider's usage policies also apply.
No sexual or NSFW content
QuickMenuQR is a family-safe platform. Restaurant menus are shown to the public, including children. Sexually explicit, pornographic or otherwise NSFW ("not safe for work") content is strictly prohibited anywhere in the Service. This applies to text and images you write or upload yourself, and to anything produced by our AI features.
This includes:
- sexual or erotic descriptions of food, drink, staff or guests
- nudity, or sexually suggestive images, including AI-generated dish images
- pornographic language, slang or innuendo in item names, descriptions or translations
- links to adult content or services
- any sexual content involving minors. We report this to the authorities.
How we enforce this:
- Filtering. Our AI features are instructed to refuse sexual or NSFW requests. We also screen requests and results for explicit content, and block them.
- Blocking. A blocked request produces no content.
- Logging. Repeated attempts are logged and may lead to suspension.
- Removal. We may remove sexual or NSFW content from menus and accounts without notice.
Ordinary dish and drink names are fine, such as "chicken breast" or a well-known cocktail name. Using them to sneak in explicit content is not.
How we enforce this policy
If we believe this policy has been broken, we may:
- remove or block the content
- refuse or limit AI requests
- disable AI features for the account
- suspend or close the account, as described in our Terms of Service.
We choose the response that fits how serious the violation is. Where reasonable, we will contact the account owner first. We may also report illegal content to the authorities.
Reporting a violation
If you see content on a QuickMenuQR menu or page that breaks this policy, email support@quickmenuqr.com with the restaurant name, the page link and a short description. We review every report.
